  No better time than summer break for aspiring fashionistas to learn to interpret your designs artistically! 

  
  

  Through illustration with Feliz Salas, you will learn how to draw realistic-looking garments using a fashion croquis, and sketch and render the fashion figure with a variety of materials, from watercolors to colored pencils. The class will focus on basic figure and clothing illustration techniques and stylization of garments. Classes will be 9-11 am on June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.
  
  This four-session series is designed for ages 10-17. No prior experience is necessary to take the class. Participants will leave with a set of illustrations of their own designs and croquis templates for future use. Basic materials will be provided.
  
  

  Summer can be busy so make-up sessions are available if needed. Email Feliz to coordinate an alternative session before signing up.
  
  Feliz Salas earned degrees in both Fashion Design and Fine Arts. She studied illustration, styling, and design in Italy, England, and at home in Hawai’i.

  Create one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly accessories from repurposed materials. Give new life to your old clothing, shoes, and anything else you don't use in your closet! Learn how to make and embellish your own jewelry, hair accessories, small purses, hats, and re-designed shoes. We will start a new project each session with a total of four different types of accessories at the end of the series.
  
  Students are encouraged to bring in old materials to work with. Used clothing, jewelry, tote bags, hats, and canvas shoes are preferred, Additional craft materials will be provided along with students’ own. No prior experience necessary. Class is open to ages 9-17.

  From straight stitches to attaching elastic and zippers, everyone will start from the basics and learn how to sew.  We're bringing sewing back! 

  
  Spend 4 Wednesday evenings at the COOP with Uakea, a preschool teacher turned seamstress.  Familiarize yourself with basic skills, vocabulary & machine knowledge as we work from online tutorials.  Gain confidence as we complete 1 great project each week.  Some previous sewing experience is helpful but not necessary. Appropriate for ages 13+.
