Perennial friends of Hifi, the Honolulu Weekly's editorial team showed us big love by inventing a separate category "Best Fashion Incubator" in their 2012 'Best of Honolulu' issue.
Hifi and the State DBEDT partnered up to bring local designers to Japan's largest trade show, and Nadine Kam was right on the scoop. Read about the designers and the beginning of a partnership between Hifi and the State of Hawaii that is sure to make waves well into the future. Read it here.

Midweek - February 2012
Fashion writer Yushing Ting put together an impressive spread of featured designers at the Hifi Coop. The shoot was styled by Tyson Joines, Zairrah Geyrozaga, Ian Ramos, and Olo Alalamua. Models included former Miss Hawaii Nicole Fox, Aviva Gorham, and Forrest Akemann. Fashion Tribe - New Life for Old Tees, March 2011
Fashion writer Nadine Kam was a regular at Hifi's pop-up incubator. Charmed by the work of new designer Michelle Douglas (Meg By Design), Nadine kept coming back for more of the designer's ethereal work, and even took part in her t-shirt re-working class. At one point she lamented "Already, two weeks seems like too-short a time period for the Hawaii Fashion Incubator to be in operation." Read Nadine's blog here.
The Green Room - March 2011
Ed Fernandez of Organik has been a longtime Hifi member and supporter. His line of sustainable graphic tees and accessories originated on the Big Island and quickly spread nationwide, gracing the windows of Fred Segal and many other stores.
